We were asked to submit a fixed priced tender for a complete new roof to a 1900's building that had been converted into flats.
The Problem
The building had been suffering from water ingress for quite some time. This was due to the degradation of the tiles, lead flashings and even the render to the chimneys had become porous. After removing the existing roof cover we discovered rotten timber underneath the fascia boards, there was also no insulation to the roof space as this had been converted.
The Solution
An insurance backed guarantee was needed for the works and with Roofing Solutions being a member of competent roofer we were able to issue a 15 year guarantee for the works.
The Result
TLX Gold Insulation was used on the building providing insulation and a breathable underlay. All fascia and soffits were replaced along with all the rotten timber. All works were carried out complying with British standards and manufacturers specifications. Regular site meetings took place with Roofing Solutions and the site surveyor to ensure the schedule of works were adhered too and all residents were kept up to date with progress.
